Harris County Seriff's Office provides police services to Clayton's Corner. Under the contract, the officer assigned to Clayton's Corner must spend 70% of his on duty time in Clayton's Corner, and is allowed up to 30% of his on duty time responding to other calls.
The officer assigned to Clayton's Corner responded to 356 calls in December 2008. Of those calls, 269 where "in contract" meaning they where within Clayton's Corner. He also responded to 87 "out of contract" calls.
